How much does a private chef cost in Barcelona?
A chef cooking for you at home, in a villa or at your event venue turns a dinner into an experience. Here's what it costs in Barcelona and what the price depends on.
In Barcelona, a private chef costs on average €45–75 per person for a standard menu, according to private-chef platforms. The most exclusive experiences, with premium produce or renowned chefs, can go beyond €150–300 per person.

The more guests, the lower the price per person: travel, shopping and preparation are shared among more people.
2. What’s usually included
- Designing the menu with you, adapted to tastes, allergies and the season.
- Shopping for ingredients.
- Cooking in your home or at the venue, and plating.
- Table service, in many cases.
- Cleaning the kitchen afterwards.
Drinks, special tableware and waiting staff for larger groups are usually not included: ask beforehand.
3. When is it a good idea?
- A special dinner at home: an anniversary, a birthday, a proposal.
- A small celebration in a villa or a country house.
- A small company dinner or a dinner with clients.
- A wedding weekend: the welcome dinner or the day-after brunch.
For groups of more than 40 or 50 people, catering is usually a better fit.
