How much does a wedding planner cost in Barcelona?

A wedding planner isn't a luxury reserved for big weddings. Here's what one costs in Barcelona, how fees usually work and what a planner saves you.

In Barcelona, a wedding planner costs roughly €800–2,500 for on-the-day coordination and €2,500–8,000 for full planning, depending on the scope and the planner’s experience. These are market guide ranges; every wedding is different.

1. Typical prices by type of service

Service What it covers Typical range
On-the-day coordination You plan it; the planner joins in the final weeks and runs the day €800–2,500
Partial planning You have some things sorted; the planner completes the rest and coordinates it €1,500–3,500
Full planning From the first idea to the last dance: venue, suppliers, design, logistics and the day €2,500–8,000
Destination wedding Full planning for couples living abroad, with visits and remote management From €4,000

Market ranges in Spain and Barcelona, 2025–2026, published by industry sites and wedding planners. Excluding VAT and supplier costs. Partial planning is an estimate between the other two services.

2. How fees are calculated

There are three common models, and it’s worth knowing which one you’re offered:

  • Fixed fee: a set price for the service. The clearest option.
  • Percentage of the budget: usually 10–15% of the total wedding cost, often with a minimum.
  • Hourly: rare for full planning; sometimes used for one-off consultations.

Also ask how the planner works with suppliers: whether they receive commissions or invoices come straight to you. Either can be fine, as long as it’s transparent.

3. What drives the price

  • The type of service and how many hours of work it involves.
  • The number of guests and the complexity (several days, several venues).
  • Whether it’s a destination wedding with a couple living abroad.
  • The season and the team’s experience.

4. Is it worth it?

A good wedding planner doesn’t just cost money — they also save it. They know reliable suppliers, know what to ask and avoid expensive mistakes. Above all, they save you time and stress: on the day, someone takes care of everything so you can simply enjoy it.

It’s especially worth it if:

  • you live far from where you’re getting married;
  • you have little time to plan;
  • the wedding involves many suppliers or several days;
  • you want something original and don’t know where to start.
